John Briggs FCCA MCIM – Group Managing Director

John Briggs is the Rhopoint Group Managing Director and majority shareholder. John is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants and Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

He has a background of financial management across a wide range of industries including Construction, Hi-Tech Manufacturing, Electronics Distribution and Specialist Instrumentation.

Having previously performed the role of Group Financial Director, in 2001 he was appointed to the position of Managing Director – Rhopoint Instruments, a manufacturing subsidiary within the Group.

In 2005 he successfully undertook a management buyout of the Rhopoint Group and has since led the company. He holds 95% of the Share Capital.

Anton Theodorou LL.B., MASC, Barrister-at-Law - Chairman

Antony Theodorou is a qualified Barrister. He has performed roles in both the private and public sectors across a range of industry sectors including Life Sciences, Publishing, Engineering and Mining both in the UK and abroad.

He was commercial Director and Company Secretary of the extremely successful British Benzol plc quoted on the London Stock Exchange and Deputy Chairman of Iroquios Brands quoted on the American Stock Exchange.

Antony founded Ballantyne Ross Ltd, the Pharmaceutical Publishers which reached the top 100 list of UK publishers and Pharma-Transfer Ltd, which was the only on-line source of previously unpublished early stage medical research.

More recently Antony acted as Head of Corporate Finance at the Technomark Group where he was involved in M&A transactions in the Life Science sector.

Antony played an integral role in the MBO of the Rhopoint Group in 2005 and he is currently Chairman. He is also Chairman of two other companies.

Antony brings a wealth of experience to the Board espically in the areas of growth strategy, corporate finance and corporate governance.

Linda Briggs - Director

Linda joined Rhopoint in 2006 to head the finance function, to oversee all accounting activities and to ensure that adequate financial controls are in place as the Group grows.

Prior to joining Rhopoint, from 2002 -2005 Linda was Financial Director at Safeguard Europe Ltd.

During her career Linda has held a variety of positions across the complete spectrum of accounting disciplines and has performed roles for several leading organisations including; The Royal College of General Practitioners, Waites Built Homes Ltd, Louis Féraud (hi-end fashion retailer), and IKON Office Solutions Inc.

In 2005 Linda gained the Institute of Directors Certificate in Company Direction.

Linda has also founded and successfully run a travel business, providing guided tours of historic and cultural interest for US visitors to UK.

In addition to heading the finance function for Rhopoint Linda also takes a strategic view of the Groups activities and is particularly involved in the assessment of acquisition targets and post acquisition integration.
